Chris Matthew has a long history and background in children's education. Chris was a preschool teacher for twenty years; She graduated from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with her religious education degree. She served for several years in the New Orleans area as a Children's Minister. After years of experience in this field, Chris decided to branch out into a new business. She used her years of experience in the art field and decided to perfect an old time children's favorite, "face painting" or as she likes to refer to them "festive faces".

Chris Matthew is not your everyday "face painter"
Chris takes the old way of face painting and turns it into a beautiful art by drawing detailed "cheek art" and "full faced animals, masks, and butterflies" some of them with added glitter and jewels. These "festive faces" will be life of any birthday party, company event or holiday party.

However, this is not all that Art from the Heart offers. Chris offers a variety of other party favorites such as hand animals, a painting of the full arm to the elbow to look like a variety of different animals. She also does hand painted wall murals and borders. And it doesn't stop there. Chris does pastel portraits of your favorite family photo or children's picture.

You may have seen some of her "festive faces" at several different festivals and events along the New Orleans, Gulf Coast and North shore areas. She has taken part in the Madisonville boat festival, The Peter Anderson festival, the Audubon Zoo To Do and many other events.
